We are a full service veterinary clinic in Superior, WI dedicated to offering compassionate care for small, exotic and farm animals. We opened May 1st, 2015.

ATTENTION: Due to the number of patients waiting to be seen, if you do NOT provide 24 hour notice of an appointment cancellation you will be subject to a fee of $55.00. This fee will need to be paid prior to receiving future services. Management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. 

 We are not currently accepting new clients at this time. Please try back another time.

Happy Tails Animal Hospital has proudly served the Superior community since 2015, offering compassionate, full-service veterinary care for small animals, exotics, and farm animals. Founded by Dr. Justin Dahl—a Superior native with deep roots in the area—our clinic was created with a clear mission: provide high-quality veterinary medicine at prices that families can afford.

Whether your pet is here for a wellness exam, a surgical procedure, or advanced diagnostics, our team is dedicated to treating them with the same level of care and respect we would want for our own animals. From day one, we’ve been focused on making both pets and their people feel welcome and supported every step of the way.

I’ve been going to this location for a few years now, and I absolutely love the staff. They take great care of my furball, and are always compassionate and educational. Their prices are more than fair, and they’re great at reminding you of your appt as well! My cat had to have a tooth extraction a year ago – and they went out of their way to educate me on how to give the meds, and what to look out for. I highly recommend this location!

We’ve been bringing our dogs to this clinic since Dr. Dahl was on Grand Avenue—over 20 years ago—and we followed him to Superior without hesitation. In that time, he and his incredible team have cared for six of our dogs, and we wouldn’t trust anyone else with their care.

They are the absolute best—skilled, compassionate, and truly dedicated. Every visit, they treat our pets with gentleness and respect, and just as importantly, they treat us with the same kindness. They’re not only knowledgeable and professional but also down-to-earth, understanding, and incredibly supportive during both the routine and the difficult moments.

The care is top-notch, the prices are reasonable, and the entire staff is made up of genuinely good people who clearly love what they do. We’re grateful to have them for our pets and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I have to start off by saying I rarely leave reviews but I love Happy Tails and all of the staff there. I’ve been coming here since Justin opened and have never been disappointed with the care they give my pets, and I have quite a few of them. I’m grateful for all the routine and emergency care they have provided for them. Best vets I have ever had over the last couple decades of pet ownership.

My family and I have gone to Dr Dahl through several dogs. His service is impeccable, his team is carrying and prices are so very reasonable. Most of all his carrying for animals and their humans is compassionate and kind. He takes the time.
